Information
Photo consent
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Current consent version: 2026-10-draft-1
1. What you agree to
When you upload a photo, you tick a box confirming:
“I own this photo or have permission to use it, and I agree to Saddle & Story using it to create my portrait as described on the Photo consent page.”
We record the date, time and version of this wording with your order.
2. How we use your photo
We use your photo only to create your portrait — including checking the finished likeness against it — and, for printed orders, to produce your print. That’s all.
3. How it’s stored
Photos are stored in private storage that is never publicly accessible. They can only be viewed through short-lived secure links.
4. Who can see it
- Authorised Saddle & Story staff working on your order.
- Service providers who need it to create or print your portrait (such as our image-creation tool provider and print partner — [to be confirmed]), under contracts requiring them to protect it.
5. Marketing
We will never use your photo or your finished portrait in marketing, on social media or on our website without asking you separately and getting your explicit permission.
6. How long we keep it
Your photo is [deleted X days after delivery — to be confirmed].
7. Asking us to delete it
You can ask us to delete your photo at any time by contacting us with your order reference. If your portrait hasn’t been completed yet, we may not be able to fulfil your order without it.
